Her areas of specialization include grief and loss, walking through divorce, PTSD, and addiction. Laurie likes to empower her clients to move forward while also recognizing how significant experiences from the past may be inhibiting their potential in the present.
Laurie also received a Master’s in Education from Georgia State University. Using this educational perspective, she enjoys working with adolescents, giving them a visual perspective of how and why the brain creates emotion. She believes that clients need to understand the nature of their feelings as well as gain relief from sharing them. Through her own life experience, Laurie’s outlook is to view change as a positive experience! She enjoys creating an authentic relationship with all her clients.
